Why I built Presto

Everyone loves to dunk on how much admin work it is to set up a company in Europe. But what I've always found more annoying than one trip to the notary is the ongoing grind of gathering my missing invoices for bookkeeping each month, both from my inbox and suppliers' billing portals.

I tried out the existing invoice-retrieval tools in the market and they didn't actually solve my problem. For inbox sync: they had very spotty invoice detection (they'd consistently miss ca. 20% of invoices in my inbox). For their billing portal scrapers: poor support for modern login flows (SSO / 2FA) so I couldn't actually use them for most of my suppliers, or I'd get delayed 2FA requests with codes that had already timed out.

I also had to upload passwords for my accounts to their servers, and trust that they secure them properly. That's why I built the tool I wish existed: Presto automatically retrieves invoices from your inboxes and suppliers' billing portals and exports them to your bookkeeping tool of choice, reliably and for any supplier website and login method.
